This research is aimed at improving the scientific and business style, the language of regulatory documents, office work and other functional styles. Guided by theoretical and practical knowledge about the formation of the Kazakh national terminology fund (inventory, systematization, regulation, etc.), the current state of approved terms in the field of social sciences and humanities is determined in detail. This is done in order to solve one of the urgent problems of the state language – the lack of a full-fledged terminological base and a universal terminology system. The quantitative characteristics of the terms of the socio-scientific field approved in the period from 1971 to 2014 were verified, and their inventory was carried out. The results of the research can be used by experts in the field of terminology to find the best approach in the formation of a term, to provide its easy adaptation in the language. The most important issue of terminology is to define the structure of the term. Structuring allows you to identify the problems of small languages. Indeed, within the framework of a special field of knowledge, the term is created according to the type of priority sample in this system. When identifying the structural features of terminology, we first of all pay attention to the form, to the morphological structure of the terminological unit.
Keywords: terminological corpus, terminological unit, term system, regulation, inventory.
