Artist Rafis Ismailov.

Abstract

Azerbaijan National Artist Rafis Ismailov’s name is well known not only among literary critics and art fans but also film critics and the people related with Azerbaijan films nearly. He devoted more than 40 years of his life to the cinematograph and was stage artist of more than 50 films. He worked with coryphaeus producers such as H.Seyidzadeh, T.Tagizadeh, R.Ojaqov. Now we can confidently say that R.Ismayilov is one of the masters with specific place among film artists. Among the films which he worked as a stage artist we can show “Gatir Mammad” (1974), “Singing Muslim Magomayev” (1971), “1001”s tour” (1974), “Knight’s of Black Lake” (1984), “Tahmina” (1989), “Hotel”s room” (1989), “Sorry, if I”l die,” (1989), “7 days after murder” (1991), “Javad xan” (2009).
