Conceptualization of the concepts «space» and «time» in the Kazakh fairy tales

Abstract

This article discusses the basic concepts of cognitive linguistics, as well as the issues related to the conceptualization of objects of the world in linguistic consciousness.
Space and time as objects of conceptualization of the naive worldview are reflected in the Kazakh fairy tales. Cognitive mechanism is viewed through the prism of understanding the abstract concepts on the basis of comparing them with concrete things.
In the article phraseological units of the modern Kazakh language and their semantics are presented as cognitive mechanisms as an important component of cognition.
