Abstract

This article reviews the work of Kazakhstan in the field of cognitive linguistics in the last ten to fifteen years. The work of Kazakh linguists in the Russian language are mainly focused on the comparative analysis of concepts, the cognitive aspects of the analysis of translation, the bilingual language of personality and other problems. At the heart of cognitive research in the Kazakh language are: axiological aspects of cognitive representation of units, cognitive function of language in the structure of ethnocultural items, the conceptual structure of the national, onomastic space, analysis of cognitive structures in literary discourse, as well as analysis of separate individual concepts. Formation of the cognitive paradigm in the Kazakh linguistics is considered within the five stages, starting with the concepts of the nature of linguistic knowledge put forward in the 1920s by A.Baitursynov, K. Zhubanov, S.Amanzholov etc. and concluding with modern cognitive research (E.N.Orazalievа).
