The functional use of key words in the work «Алаң да алаң, алаң жұрт» by Kaztugan zhyrau

Abstract

In this article, the author examines versatile functional use of words in the work «Алаң да алаң, алаң жұрт». The article pays special attention to such linguistic features of zhyrau as deep philosophical content, didactic foundation of their works, richness of poetry and emotional expression of different shades, aphorisms and sententious phrases, as well as psychological and syntactic parallelism, the harmony of sounds and their linguopoetic intonation. In the work of Kaztugan zhyrau the phrase алаң жұрт has the following functional application and contextual meaning: атамекен, туған жер (homeland), қонысқа жайлы (suitable for life), көгорай, шалғынды жер (great place). The article gives a comprehensive analysis of linguistic semantics, etymology and valence of the word жұрт. The article also gives a very detailed analysis of such phrases as жуған жұрт, туған жұрт, кескен жұрт, қонған жұрт, түскен жұрт. All these phrases were created with the help of the participial form of the verb – ған that represents qualitative properties of phenomena and objects in the meaning of the process and actions, characterized in the context of the literary text in the past tense.
