Abstract

The notions of worldview and linguistic worldview are examined in the context of global text and cultural universe. Parallels are drawn between theories of continuity of thought and worldview of Abu Hayyan al-Tawhidi (10th century) and Wilhelm von Humboldt (19th century). A 'bridge' to modern treatment of linguistic worldview is drafted.
