Imperative as the object of linguistic researches

Abstract

This is a review of researches about the Imperative in the linguistics. In this article we described the categorical semantics, connected with this semantics Imperative place in other moods system, forms system (paradigm) and their functioning. Researching of one of these aspects is depend on dominating scientific direction (structuralism, functional grammar) and its methods and objectives. The Structural Linguistics allowed describing all forms making a paradigm of an imperative; the Functional Grammar paid attention to functional aspect and categorical meaning which influences in a speaker’s choice of form and to form system which presented in the functional and semantic field.
