The method of case-study as a creative activity of students in the professional sphere

Abstract

The article considers the main task of the higher education institution at the modern stage - preparation of specialists capable of atypical, flexible and timely respond to the changes that are taking place in the world, with use of the competence-oriented approach to teaching in the University. The main task of the case method is to initiate an independent study of the situation of students, the formation of their own vision of the problem and its solution, development of the ability to debate and discuss the situation with their colleagues and teachers. The essence of a method of a case-study is presented in article which consists in independent foreign-language activity of trainees in artificially created professional environment. Which gives the chance to connect together theoretical preparation and the practical abilities necessary for creative activity in the professional sphere.
