Development of language consciousness in linguistics.

Abstract

In the article the development of the concept of «linguistic consciousness» is examined by linguists. Analysis of the main paradigms of solving this problem by different scientists allows to make a conclusion about the complexity of the concept «language consciousness». Methods for analysis of language consciousness are reduced to the analysis of the forms of its, one of which is a language. Language entity discloses in its dual function: to act as a communication tool and an instrument of thinking. Consciousness and language are inseparable and one in existence. Consideration of language consciousness makes it possible to simulate the actual state of the language consciousness of the ethnic group, using the national language. Also allocate a link of language consciousness with communicative and cognitive consciousness. Definition of language consciousness introduces a distinction in terms of consciousness, thinking, and world image which is interconnected, but their reference fields are different.
