Application of multimedia internet technology in formation of self-learning competence of non-linguistic university students (in the English language).

Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of formation of self-learning competence in terms of informatization. The author considers different definitions of self-learning competence. At the beginning of the article the author analyzes the background of the demand for competence in the light of modern educational paradigm. The author analyzes the scientific literature on this issue and shows the different approaches to understanding the problem. Application of information technology (internet and multimedia) promotes the best assimilation of new material and testing of acquired skills. The author gives a list of useful Internet resources, which undoubtedly will improve the skills and increase the level of foreign language.
