V.V. Vysotsky’s evaluation of his contemporaneity through the military theme in the poem «Common graves»

The poem «Common graves» by V.S. Vysotsky has been analyzed for the first time in the view of the system of the content and the form for the purpose of comprehending the process of formation of the plot, the subject and idea in a literary text as a result of reflection and evaluation of his contemporaneity by the poet. It is promoted by means of allusion and reminiscence with the images of predecessors («Danko» by M. Gorky) and the themes of contemporaries («Requiem» by R. Rozhdestvensky). Creative transformation (intertextuality) deepens the poet’s reflection on the war and helps convey the conflict of the individual of his time and the epoch to the reader. It consists in his disagreement with leveling of the individual and raising to the cult of the collective origin in social psychology. The issue of correspondence of the poem «Common graves» to the criterion of artistry in a view of the elegy genre, and also to the genre variety on the basis of multiple types of evaluating the represented by V. Vysotskiy has been thoroughly investigated.Downloads
