Abstract

The article presents a sociolinguistic analysis of the medial discourse of Kazakhstan. The theoretical propositions of this paper are based on the theory of medial (German School of semiotics). The article traces the way the medial space affects the processes of perception and cognition. Designated basic social concepts and rhetorical strategies of contemporary media discourse Kazakhstan. By the rhetorical strategy of Kazakhstan’s media discourse attributed sententiousness, formal and simulative anthropocentric interpretation. These strategies identified in the specific practice of speech and television media discourse, supported by psycholinguistic results. Separately considered rhetorical principles and techniques of mass manipulation of the Russian-speaking audience (journalistic texts, promotional companies, etc.) to the suggestive principles of speech therapy. Identified sociolinguistic aspects of the medial discourse correlated with analytical papers sociologists and political scientists of Kazakhstan.
