Translation of realias as a subject matter of intercultural communication

Abstract

This article illustrates one of urgent issues in translation theory. Translation of realias is just a part of the global problem of how to convey national and historical originality. Thanks to translation, people who speak different languages are able to communicate in multinational states. It also secures inter-lingual and intercultural communication. Various doctrines and religions are spread through translation. Considering questions of intercultural communication and translation, it should be observed that a translator plays a major role in these processes. It is a person who speaks one or several foreign languages and provides intercultural communication. The paper examines language abilities of a translator , as a subject of communicative activity, to make numerous and quality inter-lingual transformations and achieve the highest linguistic degree of preserving the content of original text during translation.
