Classification of structural units of english language

Abstract

Phraseology in Russian science, as a linguistic scientific discipline has been questioned by scientists. According to Y.D. Polivanov, phraseology in the future will hold special and stable positions in the literature. The researcher I.V. Arnold develops the resistance word combinations, in his opinion, sometimes the units are generated for English idiom alliterations, metaphraseological turnover, opposites, synonyms.
