Abstract

The history and stages of development of art of written aitys, its difference from oral aitys and its role in the Kazakh literature are described in the article. At the beginning of the XX centuries written aitys along with oral aitysis progressing rapidly and found a wide application among the people. In the article it is told about those akyns who made a contribution to development of written aitys, literary and educational importance of written aitysof national akyn T.Izteleuov.
