The semantic and associative nature of the lexceme flower in traditional and modevn Language under standing.

Abstract

This articles gives consideration to the onomasiological and semantic structure of kazakh nation’s traditional and existing in nature of language lexeme “Gul“ ( Гүл – en. “Flower“). On the basis of semantic conceptual analysis that was done to the lexical element “Gul“, it can be regarded as separate concept that reflects national cultural background. There was analysis on the results of associative experiment in order to determine what conceptual features existing in nature of language lexeme “Gul” attains. In interpretative scope of the concept “Gul“ , commonly known linguistic and modifiable, transformational tendency of cultural associative notions is noticed, but not the new conceptual features. Mental construction of the lexical element “Gul“ in kazakh language gives an idea to consider it as the special concept , because its content has an expressive sense. In Kazakh national background , “Gul“ can be associated with the most important categories for mankind like “Beauty“ , “love”, “life“ and “death“ .
