Translation of abbreviations and acronyms as an object of the linguistic research

Abstract

The problems of translation of abbreviations and acronyms as an object of linguistic research are considered in the article. It is assumed that there are semantic features of translation of English abbreviations and acronyms into the Russian language, formed under the influence of extra-linguistic factors, in this regard, the general characteristic of the reduced lexical units is given, the main features and peculiarities of their translation are identified.
