Abstract

Тhis article deals with the formation and development of cognitive linguistics in anthropocentric paradigm as well as the role and functions of cognitive linguistics in scientific paradigms. The main direction of cognitive linguistics is the treatment of the language and consciousness as a unified system. In this article linguistic knowledge is estimated as a result of the work of human brain and is described as a complex structure and system. Theoretical directions of cognitive linguistics as well as their research in scientific works of scientists are considered in this article. The basic concepts and the main principles of cognitive linguistics are given consideration to in this article too. This article is about the principles of cognitive linguistics and the possibilities of description of the basic concepts of cognitive linguistics from the point of cognition. Conditions of the formation of cognitive linguistics as a separate science with its own concepts and characteristic categories are dealt with in the given article.
