Abstract

This article specifies the concept of the complex syntactic whole (or supra-phrasal unity) – the basic unit of the text division into the semantic-syntactic level, which is, in fact, the minimal text. A typical composition of CSW includes three structural-semantic parts: key phrase (opening sentence) commenting part and ending part, but depending on the structure of the whole work or its fragments actually causes the compositional diversity of complex syntactic whole existing in different texts. Training to the concept of CSW, its composition, development of skills of independent production of super-phrasal unity is the purpose of one of the sections of educational and methodical complex of the Russian language [1-4], created by the authors in accordance with the Curriculum for the experimental 11th class for the transition to 12-year secondary school education with the Russian language of training [5].
