The article examines the methods of forming students' knowledge base and assimilating learning and cognitive skills in the modern educational process. The methods used to ensure that students understand and perceive the material consciously are discussed. The fact that the fundamental scientific basis of this methodology originates from the methodological works of A. Baitursynuly is proven by several examples. The article sets out literary language norms from the school curriculum as an example and analyzes the levels of their use in the teaching process. The topic of “obsolete words” was used as a model, and the effectiveness of the so-called “new” methods of mastering it was determined in conjunction with A. Baitursynuly's methodology. We develop students' cognitive skills using obsolete words. Therefore, it's important to use methods that facilitate children's understanding and retention of words through listening to podcasts. Students should be able to independently explore and learn the basics of vocabulary, work with dictionaries, and explain them comprehensively through visual and auditory processes. Only then will their vocabulary expand and their knowledge on the topic remain robust. Therefore, ensuring the student's complete mastery of grammatical meaning, its long-term retention in the student's linguistic consciousness (memory), as well as the student's learning and cognitive thinking system is a requirement of today. The main goal of this article is to demonstrate the viability of A. Baitursynuly's methodological principles and teaching methods in relation to innovative requirements. A discussion of the teaching methods used by the scientist is the main goal of this article. In accordance with the intended goal, theoretical and practical arguments were presented. The advantages of the methods used by the scientist in the educational process and their effectiveness in increasing the student's learning and cognitive abilities were discussed. The importance of the student's ability to accumulate knowledge, systematize industry information, and develop the ability to use it by integrating theoretical and practical knowledge received in his mind was revealed through general and individual analyses presented by A. Baitursynuly.
