Features pf religious legends-menkabe about esteemed holy sites (Ojag, Pir).

Abstract

Article is devoted to a widespread genre among the people "menkabe" (the legend, religious legends), to the miracles made by righteous persons and descendants of the prophet Mohammed, representatives of this noble family. Menkabe of the righteous persons who have become famous for the spiritual feats, or miracles, the feats made by siedis – descendants of imams, and are today the main genre of national literature and are retold across all Azerbaijan. We will note that at research menkabe the description of historical events and the persons meeting among sources menkabe, taking into account some motives and types of righteous persons is the extremely important also. Apparently from menkabe righteous persons, the majority making miracles sacred are descendants of siedis therefore that the righteous person is a siedi, and each siedi somewhat the righteous person is confirmed by article also. Besides, in article are provided various menkabe about many siedis, the righteous persons, collected in the southern region of Azerbaijan. Research menkabe the righteous persons taking an important place in mystical literature, is one of the main objectives of research and, therefore, the main subject of article.
