About the Journal

Journal “KazNU Bulletin.  Philology Series” was founded in 1992. The founder and publisher of the journal is  Al-Farabi Kazakh national University. The journal has a developed and approved cover and title pages indicating the University, output data of the issue, ISSN, eISSN, editorial Board, editorial policy, publication ethics, and website.

The journal is published 4 times a year.

Journal articles are registered in the CrossRef database and each author's article must be assigned a DOI-a digital object identifier that is used to provide citations, links, and access to electronic documents.

The journal is indexed by the Kazakhstan citation database (Kazbc) of JSC "National center for state scientific and technical expertise" (NCGNTE).

The journal is also available in the Scientific electronic library elibrary.ru in open access for readers and included in the analytical database "Russian science citation index" (RSCI).

The editorial board of the journal includes leading Kazakhstan and foreign scientists.

The journal follows the policy of information openness and accessibility of authors ' publications. Articles are posted on the journal's website https://philart.kaznu.kz in three languages in full-text access.

Goals and objectives of the journal

Mission of the journal is coverage of the latest achievements of philological sciences; actualization of current problems of modernization and development of education, scientific and technical potential of Kazakhstan; introduction of scientific achievements and innovative mechanisms in the development of social institutions.

The purpose of the journal is being an open platform for scientific professional discussion of a wide range of issues related to modern philological science.

The journal publishes original articles, containing the results of scientific and applied activities in the field of the Humanities, the analysis of advanced humanitarian technologies and achievements in science and education, sharing experience and integration of regional and foreign innovation systems of education, processes of modernization of Kazakhstani education.

Journal Objectives:

1) publication of the results of scientific and applied activities in the field of the humanities;

2) analysis of advanced humanitarian technologies and achievements in science and educational activity;

3) dissemination of integration experience of regional and international innovation systems of education, processes of modernization of Kazakhstan education;

4) introduction of new concepts, programs, projects and technologies that contribute to the development of science and education;

5) the formation of communication platform of potential participants of social partnership in the field of the humanities and educational activities.

The journal covers a wide range of topics in the field of Philology and publishes articles on the following topics:

  • General and applied linguistics, integrative areas of linguistics: sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, computer linguistics, corpus linguistics and other related disciplines;
  • Scientific problems of modern areas of linguistics;

  • Comparative analysis in linguistics;
  • Theory and practice of translation;
  • Theory, history of literature and general issues of literary studies;
  • Comparative analysis of literary works;
  • Literary bibliography;
  • Textology, texts of artistic works as an object of literary criticism, as well as their critical and review descriptions;
  • General issues of teaching philological subjects and teaching methods in secondary and higher professional schools;

  * The author(s) of the manuscript approved for publication in the journal are obliged to pay for publication in accordance with the approved price list for publication in the scientific journals of al-Farabi KazNU. According to the approved price list, payment for publication is 2000 tenge per page.

In exceptional cases, if there are other sources of funding for the journal series, authors may be fully or partially exempted from payment for the publication of the article. A receipt for payment for publication in pdf format is sent by the author(s) to the e-mail address of the editorial office of the journal.
