Kazakh novel in the years of independence

Novels, which have been written since the period of Independence of the country, are classified in the article according to their theme. The research in terms of the idea and content of modern novels of the contemporary period is reviewed as the main object of study. Moreover, wide-spread themes and related themes of novels are compared and analyzed in the framework of a particular novel. The article deeply deals with novels on historical themes. Among Kazakh novels the group of historical novels originated from the creativity of I. Esenberlin is far ahead in terms of quality and quantity, which is also typical for the first decade of Independence. The author dwells on the types of historical novels, which disclose the idea of independence, national idea, as well as other historical themes. The attention is paid to the writer’s skills and the beauty of the work. The lives of characters of the novels, revolution, famine, war are analyzed in the article; it highlights the ideological content and artistic solutions relating to the themes of the revolution of 1986 called Zheltoksan.References
