Abstract

This article deals with the problem of Turkic philology, which has ex­isted for almost a thousand years. Subject is dedicated to a whole range of geographical, historical and meaningful signs, monuments, where the Old Turkic alphabet are the cornerstone. The study theme specifies particular areas of life of ancient Turkic-speaking ethnic groups: in addition to the basic and original key of the letter – are the Midwest and Middle Eastern part of modern Mongolia, Eastern Turkestan and northwest China, Altai, Tuva, Khakassia, Kirghizia, Eastern Europe, North Caucasus, Don. Most of the threads is a reliable historical source, which is particularly valuable for the study of philologists and historians.
