The article is devoted to problems of studying features of verbalization of an archetype «Fire» by means of idioms in Kazakh and English languages. Authors try to define the place of an archetype «Fire» in Kazakh and English cultural linguistics by comparison of their similarities and distinctions expressed in semantics of the different language units presented in lexicographic sources.
