Abstract

This article examines the journalism of the Russian poet of the first half of the XX century L.N. Martynov, that is a number of articles published in 1926-1927 on the standing of Kazakh women in the society. The analysis of Leonid Martynov’s sketches and notes, containing the issue of gender equality, is able to determine the role of the poet in the social life of the population of the northern Kazakhstan and the Siberian region. The second task is to find figures of speech in journalistic articles, to justify their significance and reasons for using it. Finally, the degree and ways of inoculation of this material into Martynov’ artistic texts are observed. Thus, the synthesis of fiction and documentary in his journalistic activity is determined, as well as the place of the image of Kazakhstan in works of the Russian poet
