Artistry and documentary of autobiographical text

Abstract

The article discusses the features of the autobiographical works of art. The main criterion for determining the text as autobiography is that it contains describing particular events described by the author himself. The article notes that the two subtypes are distinguished in the genre of autobiography, documentary and art. The documentary autobiography narrative reproduces empirical facts, the author tries to convey real-life events with documentary precision. Art autobiography exposes episodes of real poetic autobiography processing and converts the specific significant event in the artistic fact. In this type of autobiography the fictional, imaginary moments of life are more important than documentary. The article formulates a conclusion that art is defined as the product of an autobiography, based on documentary evidence of the author’s life, which are transformed into artistic images, and are not only the subject but also the object of the image. The degree of artistic or documentary autobiographical text determined by the level of deviation established in the work of the literary image of the real image of the author. The author constructs an autobiographical image as a literary portrait of the era of representative, seeks topresent his identity as an integral part of the social and historical process.
