Achiktash inscription – the latest written monument

Abstract

One of Talas ancient Turkic of runic written monuments is told about the last reading of the Achiktash inscription in the article. The attention is paid to earlier researches and the conclusions with descriptions of values of fourteen letter marks corresponding to signs of ancient Turkic of runic written monuments. It is claimed that the main maintenance of a written monument has been opened thanks to these signs. Conclusions have been drawn on meanings of unknown signs the ancient Turkic runic written monuments which haven’t been recorded and decoded before. Authentic proofs have proved designation of not lip and lip sounds by separate graphemes. There are available different, often opposite, opinions of scientists on the Achiktash written monument, the author of article gives them an assessment. In conclusion the author claims and proves that the Achiktash inscription – the latest written monument which is dated ХІІ-ХІІІ century. The Achiktash inscription is compared to ancient Turkic runic written monuments on sound and lexico-morphological aspects. The table of the use of sound graphemes is offered.
