Abstract

In this article Evelyn Waugh’s the famous trilogy «Sword of Honour» is analyzed. The protagonist of the trilogy Guy Krauchbek adherent to Catholicism ideals. Trilogy consists of three novels: Men at Arms (1952), Officers and Gentlemen (1955) and Unconditional Surrender 1961). The uniting moment of all three works, Catholicism of the English society and influence of the aristocracy on morality and the moral of the person, put in the forefront. Writer has made an effort to supply by means of man becoming alien to British society. The hero of the work Guy Krauchbek though is similar on characters of the previous works, however draws attention of readers with absolutely new qualities. The trilogy «Sword of Honour» differs from the point of view of contents and style from the previous works of Evelyn Waugh.
