Свадебная обрядность в современной азербайджанской поэзии

Abstract

Wedding ceremony takes an important place among the old traditions
of Azerbaijan. Wedding ceremony is the union of family arising on the
basis of the marriage settlement that, being between two young. The ties of
relationship become wider by this ceremony which, organizes the base of
the society. To ask in marriage, the betrothal, the henna party and to take
the veil and etc. are considered the stages of the wedding ceremony. The
various aspects of the wedding ceremony have reflected in the examples of
folk-lore. Expanding of the wedding ceremonies has also influenced to the
written literature. So, poets write many poems that, showing the stages of
the wedding ceremonies. The majority of these poems are devoted to the
praise of the bridegroom and bride. The moving of the bride from her own
place, the crying of the mothers and the joy of the relatives are showed in
these poems.
Besides the examples from the folklore, about the wedding ceremony,
the examples from the poems by modern poets also have been given in
the article.
