Abstract

The article discusses the peculiarities of studying the language of the media in the classroom in
Russian as a foreign language. Thanks to the language of the media, students deepen their understanding of the stylistic system of the Russian language. In this area there are elements of all styles of speech:
conversational, official, business, artistic and scientific. Particular attention is paid to the specific stylistic
and linguistic features of the journalistic style.
Various types of work offered in the process of media language research are listed. Genre diversity
of journalistic style allows to improve the skills of both oral and written monologue, Dialogic speech and
oral polylogue. The possibility of improving all types of speech activity – listening, speaking, reading and
writing – based on the materials of multi-channel media – press, radio, television, Internet.
Thanks to the language of the media, case texts reflecting cultural realities are being studied. This is a
very important aspect of learning a foreign language. A big role is played by the headlines. It is indicated
that due to the various forms of work, relevant topics maintained a high interest in this course.
