Abstract

In this article it is considered that Direct speech can be stated as Monologue (detailed) and common, as well as a monologue utterance. There are two types of Monologues: 1) reflecting the nature of the social impact on a significant audience, directing its activity and that are socially significant, and 2) reflecting psychological impact directed to a person. Undifferentiated monologue has been analyzed in case when author introduction is given only at the beginning when representing the monologue and differentiated monologue has been analyzed in case when author’s words precede the monologue and break it down into parts. It is confirmed, on qualifying direct speech constructions should be meant not only its grammatical status (syntactically quite limited), but its functional status too. To define this 2nd side, it’s important to include direct speech constructions into dialogical or monological constructions, continuing strictly direct speech.
