Abstract

Language teaching methodology has passed a long way in its development: language teaching, speech teaching, speech activity teaching, communication teaching. The purpose of teaching professional communication coincides with the objectives of higher education and student personal motivation – training highly qualified specialists in a particular area able to solve professional problems with the help of the target language. The article deals with the active participation of students in the learning process in the form of various types of business games. Business games allow to simulate and improve skills in communication in all forms of speech activity. The article gives examples of business games «Negotiations with authorities», «Negotiations with the publishing house director» and others.
