The Fate of the Woman in the Descriptions of L.N. Tolstoy, G.Flaubert and M. Zhumabaev: Similarities and Differences in their Interpretations.

The article considers the problem of family and relationship between husband and wife and its artistic, philosophical and aesthetic understanding in the novels «Madame Bovary» by G.Flaubert, «Anna Karenina» by L.Tolstoy and « Sholpan’s Fall « by M. Zhumabaev. The analysis of the given novels contributes to investigating the attitudes of Flaubert, Tolstoy and M. Zhumabaev to the role of women in society and in the family, to the issue of duty and female betrayal. A detailed analysis of the heroines’ images in the novels of the French and Russian writers was conducted, specific peculiarities of the outlook and creative method of Flaubert and Tolstoy were revealed, the analysis of M. Zhumabaev’s work in the context of Russian and Western European classics traditions was carried out.References
