Prospects of the development of terminological dictionaries in oil and gas industry

Abstract

Terminological dictionaries in the oil and gas industry are discussed in this article. Along with the appearance of terms in a specific language apart from linguistic there act external intralinguistic factors, which include the appearance of internationalisms. Along with spontaneous onset, the most important component in the emergence and development of a certain terminological system in the field of terminology is a conscious effort on the standardization of terminology in the national, international and internationally sphere. The development of the Kazakh sector of terminology is characterized by the stage of standardization and normalization. For the optimal results, the material and dictionaries, reflecting the modern tendencies in the languages are required. In modern dictionaries of terminology variability of terms and lack of justification of terms in the Kazakh language are observed. However, it should be noted that the special and technical terminological system of the Kazakh language is in its infancy and requires a scientifically based approach to the development of the industry terminology. The particular relevance in connection with the role and place of Kazakhstan in the global oil industry becomes the problem of formation of the Kazakh terminological system in the oil and gas sphere.
