Images of heroes in literature – a source of public education

Abstract

The image of heroes in art works is analyzed in the article. In the comparative aspect, the characters of heroes Kobylandy, Kabanbai, Bogenbai, Bayan, Syrym are analyzed in historical documents
and literary studies, historical works of famous poets and writers. Thus, it considers the poem «Valiant
Bayan» by M. Zhumabaev, the historical legend «Syrym batyr» by G. Karash, the poem «Syrym batyr» by
Zh. Tleshov, the historical drama «The pledge of the future» by G. Musrepov, the trilogy «Nomads» by
I.Esenberlin, «Pleiades – the constellation of hope», «Flares» of A. Kekilbayev and «Daraboz» by K. Zhumadilov, the novel «The troubled times» by K. Muhanbetkaliuli. The main subjects of historical legends
and novels are the struggle against enemies, supplemented by a bright and artistic depiction of historical
personalities. The idea of propaganda of courage, statehood and national values occupies an important
place in our literature. In this regard, the teaching of literature through the study of historical works is
the source of the rich heritage of our people. The author evaluates the works of poets and writers who
created heroic images of folk batyrs as a feat and considers it a significant contribution to the upbringing
of the younger generation.
