Abstract

Over the last years, the formation of common anthroponyms of men and women and investigation of its developing process becomes interesting for many scientists and plays great role in modern anthroponymics. In this regard, this article attempts to examine men and women names. In particular, to consider lexical-semantic types, psycholinguistic aspects of common names of men and women. Because those common anthroponyms apart from reflecting national identities, they convey religious worldview, beliefs, superstitions concerning putting name and linguocultural information about customs. In history of names over the centuries there has been modernization, aging, giving men names to women and vice-versa or all of the become archaisms. It is a normal, historical process. At present time, common names for men and women are compound and a lot. Mostly name stocks are increased by words and variation, adding of affixes to the words that are in the stock of language. That’s why it is still necessary to study common men and women names. Scientific article demonstrates relevance of common names for men and women that are existed at present time.
