Abstract

In our article «Conceptual images of metamorphosis in modern Kazakh poetry»the main attention is paid to the fact that the mythical reincarnations that describe the national consciousness completely determine the image of the ethnos. We analyzed the national peculiarities of the use of metamorphoses by modern Kazakh poets, a picture of the historically formed national image in poetry, and in the national consciousness. For example, poems containing transformations into mountains, eagles, a pure spring, a swan, etc., reveal the unique people’s features, the entire imageof national language, traditional culture, and the connection between the concepts of language, consciousness and culture. These conclusions were made on the basis of the worksof the following young poets – M. Raiymbekuly, A. Elgezek, E. Zhunis, S. Seitman, K. Omar, N. Berdaly
