«Abyss» in life and spirituality

Abstract

The given article is devoted to the investigation of the activity of the great Azerbaijanian poet of the 20th century HuseynJavid. In HuseynJavid’s activity the word expression «abyss» is not accidental. In the activity of the poet-playwright his reflection showing himself in the life and morality of the abyss has been found. The most obvious example of it is the play «Abyss» by H. Javid. The images in the play in the struggle for the moral purity can fully express the confrontation between the East and the West. As it is known in H. Javid’s activity the concept of the «abyss» is not only a concept of a real place, but at the same time a spiritual space that arises from the boundlessness of the scientific research, the process of investigation, the cultural development. It is a means of deep and artistic shades of the expression of the complex characters of images, the contradictions of society. The master and the real clashes and the spiritual wear likens chasms, calls them as the boundless abysses, the bottom of which is not visible, which are not exhausted by deepening. The author comes to the conclusion that the works written by H.Javid starting with the preservation of the national and the moral problems,and a thousand years later will remain relevant from the point of view of propaganda and the development of both national-Turkic and the universal values. In the article all these problems are investigated on the extensive material of the drama «Abyss».
