Abstract

The article explores the importance of improving students’ speaking skills which is considered to be the most difficult part of language teaching. The development of speaking skills is directly connected with the correct pronunciation, lexical items (i.e. words and phrases) and grammar. In the article, it has been noted once again that the lesson is considered effective when the students’ oral communication skills are improved and meet the requirements of the stated goal. Thus, English teachers should try to create a language atmosphere in the classroom, inspire students to speak English during lessons and outside the classroom. From the first day of teaching the teacher’s communication with students in English will positively affect the students’ oral communication skills.
