The writer, playwright, poet Sultan Raev is one of the most famous writers who over the past three decades has received worldwide recognition not only from the Kyrgyz Republic, but also from the Central Asian region. Raev’s novels of “Zhanzhaza” (“Castigation”), “Topan” (“Flood”) and “Kashaba” (wolf’s name) and a number of dramatic works from the point of view of psychological and cultural-historical, comparative-historical and hermeneutic methods. These methods are used to examine the author's personal ideas about time and space, history, the world and human existence, as well as methods of modeling the real world and the inner world of his characters. Through his works, the writer seeks to draw the world's attention to crises and spiritual disasters in the life and consciousness of mankind on earth. In addition, the author's dramatic works reveal the socio-social, cultural nature of complex problems in the history and society of the Kyrgyz people. The surreal literary techniques in the author's novels and the levels of the text are shown. The scientific-practical value of the research is measured by the fact that in higher educational institutions of the country it contributes to filling gaps in the education system about modern Kyrgyz literature and improving the methodological-theoretical aspect of Domestic literary studies in the CIS.
