Abstract

This article is devoted to the investigating the difficulties and methods of teaching intonation of interrogative sentences of English Kazakh students in High language school. In many situations Kazakh students in their speech, especially when they ask questions in English, don’t use the intonation correctly, and of course it may influence on the content of their speech negatively. In the process of researching this topic a lot of works of famous scientists were studied, but it was defined that there isn’t a great amount of works devoted to the comparative analysis of the intonation of interrogative sentences in English and Kazakh languages. That’s why authors offer methods of teaching intonation, considering peculiarities of the native language of students and base on experience and researches of foreign and Russian scientists, what is the main aim of the work. A complex of exercises combined specially for the Kazakh students is proposed.
