Newspaper headliners – Discourse element of the Mass media

Abstract

In this newspaper article author issues the headlines and ways of their study. Also article addresses ways of compiling headers. Based on certain examples it is shown how headers reflects contents of the articles. The additional functions and structural features of the headers are described. Overview of Domestic and foreign scientists' works on the subject are provided.
