present period, has its own history and, depending on its historical development, has acquired in its phonetic system, in addition to the truly ancient common moments, which is peculiar only to it. The actual position of vocalism and consonantism in modern Turkic languages, including the comparable ones – Kazakh, Turkish and Uzbek, is a rather complicated picture. On the other hand, this is due to its little studied phenomenon and, consequently, the undeveloped methodology for studying it in terms of diachrony and synchrony. The reconstruction of the proto-linguistic position of the vocal and consonant phonemes of the archetype is carried out by us mainly on the data of written standards of literary languages. Only in rare cases for comparison are references to the materials of dialects of each of these languages.
