Abstract
The article discusses the linguistic and psychological problems of simultaneous interpretation, which is a complex part of interpretation.
Interpretation was based on linguistic and psychological theoretical studies, by which linguistic, namely prosodic, acoustic and psychological features of the practical application of interpretation, particularly simultaneous interpretation, were studied.
The analyzed material was collected and recorded by undergraduates with the help of a voice recorder while translating spoken texts in academic disciplines of the specialty "Simultaneous Interpretation", where the analyzed material was used for educational purposes.
The collected, sorted material was subjected to phonetic analysis using the Praat programme, as well as a linguistic analysis of the time, the fundamental frequency of the tone and the modification of the tonal movement of the interpreter performing simultaneous translation. The psychological study was aimed at identifying the peculiarities of the work of interpreters practicing interpretation, taking into account the exercises used to overcome difficulties encountered when accompanying translation.
The results obtained in the course of the study will contribute to the training of specialists in the field of interpretation, conducting research in this field, since the interpretation strategies that arise during interpretation contribute to improving the quality of interpretation, in other words, in particular, paraphrasing, self-correction, mitigation, addition, omission frequency, the percentage corresponds to the previously conducted studies.
