Abstract

The article examines the poetic works of poets for children in the second volume of the ten-volume anthology “Kazakh Children's Literature” entitled “We Are All Brothers”. A large branch of national literature is children's literature. To assess the present and future of Kazakh children's literature, a review of its history was conducted. Continuity of traditions, novelty of content and form in children's poetry are formulated through a literary analysis of individual works of poets of different eras. In a scientific analysis of written literature that develops children's logic and broadens their horizons, examples from the literature of Ybrai in the 19th century and the literature of the early 20th century by Zhusupbek and Magzhan were assessed as a traditional continuation of children's poems originating in oral creativity. The work of teachers in educating children about national values is invaluable. They sought to instill kindness in children through their works of art, as well as textbooks and teaching aids. The content and form of small genres such as lullabies, riddles, counting, tongue twisters, riddles, parodies, and satire in children's literature are new; they are based on the works of such poets as A. Sarsenbaev, A. Tazhibaev, M. Alimbaev, M. Zhamanbalinov, T. Berdiyarov, Zh. Smakov, O. Aubakirov, S. Zhienbaev, and M. Netalieva. The cognitive and educational function of poetic works by children is determined by literary analysis of individual works.

Key words: children's poetry, lullaby, counting, tongue twisters, riddle, parody, continuity of traditions, innovation.
