The article says that in spite of all the wealth of semantic and functional features of speech, semantic structure and functional characteristics of speech are not well understood. The word used in the speech derives its semantic development, so it makes its sense deepen, and the word gives its name to new concepts not specified earlier and thus the wealth of speech develops. The article analyzes the functional-semantic aspect of the poem of Abai – «If the heart is powerless.» The article makes scientific conclusion that because of the agglutinative nature and weak variability of roots Turkic words, in comparison with other languages, well retain their form and semantic structure. The article compares the main concepts in the verses of Abai with the concepts in the poetry of Shakarim Kudaiberdiev.References
