Abstract

Any language contains information about the life experience of people, its traditions and customs.
Hypotheses about the common ancient vocabulary in the Turkic and Slavic languages are not unfounded:
history shows close contacts that have developed since immemorial time between the Eastern Slavs and
the Huns, Bulgars, Kumans, Kipchaks and other Turkic tribes, whose number in antiquity is still quite
high.
Dwelling on the vast expanses of Russia and its bordering territories, those nations and tribes were
exposed to the influence of the Russian language and, in turn, had a significant impact on the Russian
language, as evidenced by more than ten thousand of turkic lexicons mastered in Russian language.
The article deals with the lexical and semantic features of the turkic lexicons, borrowed by the Russian language as a result of close contacts with neighboring peoples in the process of the centuries-old
history of coexistence; a lexicographic and etymological analysis of the words given in the dictionaries,
which were published in different epochs.
