Linguistic parameters of the thesaurus philological terms

Abstract

The article is devoted to scientific and practical problems (definition of linguistic parameters) of developing a thesaurus dictionary of philological terms in the education system. The article considers the most important main stages of thesaurus construction, the main units that make up the thesaurus, descriptor and ascriptor terms, their meaning in the description of the terminological system, their place in determining the semantic links between terms, etc. During the study, the structure of the dictionary entry of the thesaurus of philological terms in the Kazakh language was classified into the following parameters: a) descriptors: The name of the term (a separate word or phrase); Area; Subject; Definition of the term; Etymology of the term; Method of formation; Example; Source; Author of the term; b) descriptors: Opposit; Homonym; Synonym; Hyperonym; Hyponym; Combination of terms; Derivative term. The features of these parameters were revealed scientifically and theoretically on the basis of linguistic examples. Theoretical significance of the research: the results obtained during the research contribute to clarifying and supplementing the scientific foundations of applied terminology, terminography, in particular, the construction of a thesaurus of the terminological fund, the development of bilingual and multilingual industry terminological explanatory dictionaries, the creation of electronic thesauri.

The practical significance of the research is justified by the fact that it can be used in the lexicographic practice of developing sectoral and thematic thesauri, creating a special terminological fund, clarifying and improving the structure and content of thesaurus parameters, developing various thematic and electronic search thesauri.

The research work uses methods of classification, systematization, denotative, definitional, genus-species, logical-semantic, structural (morphological, syntactic), diachronic (etymological), comparative typological and faceted analysis, thesaurus, linguistic, lexicographic and thesaurus modeling.
